World’s Tallest Man and World’s Shortest Woman Meet in Egypt At a whopping 8 feet 3 inches, Sultan Kösen is considered the tallest man in the world. He met Jyoti Amge—the shortest woman in the world—on Friday at the Giza pyramids in Egypt. The Egyptian Tourism Promotion Board invited the record-breakers as part of an initiative to increase once-lively tourism in Egypt. Kösen is from Turkey, and Amge is from India,  ITV News  reported Monday. Neither Kösen nor Amge had visited Egypt before this event. Kösen, a 35-year-old man of Kurdish descent, is one of just 10 people throughout history reported to measure over 8 feet, the  Guinness World Records site  states. It has been more than a decade since another person has officially topped 8 feet. The songstress  walked the red carpet  wearing a black dress with a dramatic skirt by Armani Privé. Her Gothic-inspired gown featured a sheer bodice with beaded embellishments and lace accents. It wasn't until she moved to the side that we realized her gown had a thigh-high slit, and the sheer bodice was actually a full bodysuit, which Gaga fully revealed once she was inside at the award ceremony, ditching her skirt entirely. Beyoncé Debuted a Brand-New Glossier Product at the Grammys Fresh off the heels of Solution, arguably  the biggest skincare launch of 2018  (so far), Glossier shows no signs of stopping. The brand just revealed that it will drop a new makeup product — and debuted it on Beyoncé, of all humans. Nigerian govt deports Cameroonian separatist leaders The Nigerian government on Friday deported 12 Cameroonian separatist leaders who were arrested earlier this month, their lawyer said Monday. Julius Ayuk Tabe and 11 others were arrested at Nera Hotels Abuja on January 6 and were detained at the Defence Intelligence Agency, said Femi Falana who has been providing legal support for them. The detainees were largely held incommunicado, which included denial of access to their lawyers, doctors and family members. However, the deputy representative of the office of United Nations Commissioner for Refugees to Nigeria and ECOWAS, Brigitte Mukanga-Eno, was allowed to visit them in detention last week, Mr. Falana said. The treatment prompted the lawyer to file a fundamental rights suit to enforce the rights of their clients.
